About “Intermission Poetry,” and then I Wondered…

Poetry books, on average, run around 65 to 110 pages. Some are slightly shorter or longer. I finished formatting Intermission Poetry and its at the average length. There are around 65 poems in the book. Now, I have to self-publish.

I do not have a cover for the book. I honestly have no idea what to do for a cover. I am a sub-par artist if you’ve seen the cover of my first poetry book, One Small Glimpse. (Okay, okay, I’m a really bad artist who enjoys scribbling little pictures.)

See this bad drawing? This is what I’m dealing with…

It’s a small illustration I drew one day. But for this book I wanted to look more professional. But since I’m no professional, maybe I am expecting too much.

Anyhoo, I’m about to publish this book. It’s my 2022 New Year’s Resolution.

And so, as with all resolutions you gotta do it!

Also, I wanted to place this here. It’s so good. I’ve become the biggest Enna simp.

It happened so suddenly, this hope in the dark world.

Okay, where were we? I have so many questions to those who read this.

I am a cute brown poo

Should I just use a generic plain white cover like the White album or something like that? That’s where I’m leaning. Will you call me a Beatles wannabee? So, I won’t be called a copycat should I make it a color like pink, orange or green? Maybe brown. I love the color brown. Is that too poopy of a connotation?

And so, any advice would be appreciated. If you’d like to add a comment/review that will appear on the back of the book, I’d also appreciate. Please let me know. I have some comments for Avocado Toast and American Thankfulness. I also have one for The Solitary Knock on the Door which was the long poem I wrote in the vein of Edgar Allan Poe.

Just let me know if you’d like to contribute in some way. I’d appreciate. I’ll probably make mention of those who faithfully “like” my poems. There are a few; and I truly have appreciated the “likes” and especially the “comments.”

So… yeah, so, I’m going to publish soon. I’ll post this and give it a week. And then, voila! The book will be there to behold; and hold.

Thank you for reading and I hope you all find what you are seeking and searching for in this life. Mostly, I hope you all find love this 2022.

Hi Gracie! 🙂 ❤
